40MAX Metal Trigger Upgrade for Lailaps & Lightning Blaster: Improve Trigger Feel, Control, and Performance

40MAX Metal Trigger Upgrade for Lailaps & Lightning Blaster: Improve Trigger Feel, Control, and Performance

40MAX Metal Trigger Upgrade for Lailaps & Lightning Blaster

Upgrade your trigger. Improve your control. Shoot with confidence.

When upgrading a blaster, most players focus on the big performance components — motors, flywheels, batteries, FPS tuning, and internal modifications.

But there is one part you interact with every single time you shoot: the trigger.

The trigger is the connection between you and your blaster. A smoother, more precise trigger can improve your overall shooting experience by giving you better feedback, more control, and a more premium feel.

The 40MAX Metal Trigger Upgrade was designed for owners of the 40MAX Lailaps Brushless Flywheel Foam Dart Blaster and AIT TOY x 40MAX Lightning Brushless Flywheel Foam Dart Blaster who want improved durability, clearer trigger feedback, and a more responsive shooting experience.

Developed based on feedback from the 40MAX blaster community, this upgrade replaces the original polymer trigger with a durable metal design that provides a stronger feel and improved two-stage trigger feedback.

Why Upgrade Your 40MAX Blaster Trigger?

For many blaster enthusiasts, customization is not only about performance numbers. It is also about improving the way your equipment feels and responds.

A great blaster should feel natural in your hands.

The trigger is where every shot begins, and small improvements can make a noticeable difference during gameplay.

The original polymer trigger works well for everyday use, but advanced users often prefer:

  • A stronger and more solid trigger feel
  • Clearer two-stage trigger feedback
  • Better control during semi-auto shooting
  • Improved durability for long-term use
  • A more premium mechanical feel

The 40MAX Metal Trigger Upgrade was created for players who want a more refined and satisfying trigger experience without changing the core firing system of their blaster.

Clearer Two-Stage Trigger Feedback

Both Lailaps and Lightning blasters use a two-stage trigger system.

The first stage provides the initial trigger input, while the second stage completes the firing action.

A clearer trigger point helps players better understand exactly when the blaster is ready to fire.

The redesigned metal structure provides a more defined two-stage trigger feeling.

Compared with a standard polymer trigger, the metal trigger offers a more noticeable transition between each stage.

This is especially useful for players who prefer:

  • Controlled semi-auto shooting
  • More precise trigger timing
  • Better understanding of trigger position

Smoother Pre-Spin Activation for Lailaps

For Lailaps users who enable Pre-Spin Mode, trigger response plays an important role in the overall shooting experience.

The upgraded metal trigger provides a smoother activation feeling, helping players engage the flywheel system with more confidence.

This allows faster follow-up shots during gameplay while maintaining better trigger control.

More Direct Trigger Response

A stronger trigger structure reduces unnecessary movement and creates a more direct connection between your finger input and the blaster system.

The result is a more responsive and satisfying trigger pull.

Compatible With 40MAX Lailaps and Lightning Blasters

The 40MAX Metal Trigger Upgrade is compatible with:

  • 40MAX Lailaps Brushless Flywheel Foam Dart Blaster
  • AIT TOY x 40MAX Lightning Brushless Flywheel Foam Dart Blaster

Whether you are upgrading your new Lailaps setup or refreshing your Lightning blaster, this direct replacement trigger upgrade improves one of the most important parts of your blaster — the trigger interface.

No cutting, drilling, or permanent modification is required.

Built With Durable Metal Construction

Unlike standard polymer components, the 40MAX Metal Trigger Upgrade uses a durable metal structure designed for repeated operation and long-term reliability.

For players who frequently use and customize their blasters, a stronger trigger material provides a more consistent feel over time.

Key benefits include:

  • Improved mechanical strength
  • Better wear resistance
  • More consistent trigger feel
  • Premium metal finger contact
  • Long-lasting construction

The black finish matches the tactical appearance of both Lailaps and Lightning blasters, making it a natural upgrade for any customized setup.

A trigger upgrade may seem like a small change, but it is one of the parts you interact with every time you use your blaster.

How to Install the 40MAX Metal Trigger Upgrade

Installing the 40MAX Metal Trigger Upgrade is straightforward and requires only basic tools.

Required Tools

  • 1.5–2.5mm diameter screwdriver or metal punch tool

Step 1: Remove the Upper Slide Assembly

Use the tool to carefully remove the rear pin from the blaster.

Remove the complete upper slide assembly.

Important:
Keep the black menu button switch inside the lower receiver. This small component can fall out during disassembly, so make sure it stays in place.

Step 2: Remove the Original Trigger

Locate the trigger connecting pin inside the lower receiver.

Push the pin out from the side without the spring toward the side with the spring.

When the top of the pin reaches the same level as the spring, the original plastic trigger can be removed from underneath.

Step 3: Install the Metal Trigger

Install the new 40MAX Metal Trigger into the original trigger position.

Make sure:

  • The spring remains attached to the pin
  • The trigger holes are aligned correctly
  • The spring position remains correct

Push the pin back into place from the spring side until it is flush.

Step 4: Test Before Reassembly

Before reinstalling all components:

  • Pull the trigger several times
  • Confirm smooth movement
  • Check that there is no sticking or resistance

Once everything works correctly, reinstall the remaining parts.
